Help

Quick pointers for reviewing photos, slideshows, and DigiFrame TV.

Getting started

  • Review — walk through queued photos and Include or Exclude each one.
  • Settings — run OneDrive scan, tweak thumbnails, albums, and account.

Backing up photos to OneDrive

DigiFrame reads from OneDrive only after your pictures are there. These guides are third‑party videos we found helpful (not affiliated); summaries match typical Microsoft OneDrive flows.

1. iPhone → OneDrive

  1. Install Microsoft OneDrive from the App Store and sign in.
  2. Open your profile Me, then SettingsCamera upload.
  3. Turn camera upload on for the Microsoft account where you want photos stored.
  4. Optional: enable Include videos, Wi‑Fi only, or bedtime-style uploads when offered.
  5. Leave OneDrive allowed in Background App Refresh (Settings → OneDrive) so uploads continue when the app is not open.
  6. If you use Optimize iPhone Storage for iCloud Photos, uploads may wait until full‑size files are available — check Apple Photos settings if uploads stall.

2. iCloud → OneDrive

  1. On a computer: sign in at icloud.com/photos, select albums or photos, then download (often a ZIP).
  2. Unzip if needed, then open OneDrive on the web and upload or drag folders into your library.
  3. Windows: with iCloud for Windows, photos can appear under File Explorer — copy into your synced OneDrive folder.
  4. Mac: export from Photos (File → Export) into a folder, then move that folder into OneDrive via Finder or the OneDrive app.
  5. Very large libraries: plan batches by year or album so downloads complete reliably; verify dates/metadata if that matters for your workflow.

3. Android phones → OneDrive

  1. Install Microsoft OneDrive from Google Play and sign in.
  2. Tap Me (profile) → Settings Camera backup (wording may vary slightly by version).
  3. Turn camera backup on and confirm folder access when Android prompts.
  4. Optional: include videos, extra folders (screenshots, etc.), Wi‑Fi‑only, or backup while charging.
  5. Stay signed in and avoid force‑stopping OneDrive if uploads pause unexpectedly.
  6. Samsung Galaxy: you may also see Gallery → Settings → Sync with OneDrive (labels vary). That complements the OneDrive app; you don't need a separate guide if camera backup above is working.

Slideshow & TV

Play your included photos with the “Play Slideshow” button (web slideshow), cast from full-screen if you like, or use DigiFrame TV in your television's browser (device-code sign-in). Step-by-step copy lives under Settings → Display & TV.
