A better photo app for your OneDrive photos
OneDrive is a great place to keep photos — huge storage you probably already pay for with Microsoft 365, reliable backup, and your files stay yours. It is less great at helping you enjoy them: sorting the keepers from thirty thousand camera shots, finding duplicates, or getting them onto the big screen in the living room. Frequently asked questions
- Is DigiFrame made by Microsoft?
- No. DigiFrame is an independent app that works with your OneDrive through Microsoft's official Graph API. You sign in with your normal Microsoft account, and DigiFrame only gets permission to read the photo library you allow — it never sees your password.
- Do my photos leave OneDrive?
- No. Your full-resolution photos stay in your OneDrive. DigiFrame stores only thumbnails, metadata, and quality scores so it can help you review quickly — never your originals. Cancel any time and your library is exactly where it always was.
- Is there an iPhone app?
- Yes, in beta. The DigiFrame iPhone app backs up your camera roll — photos and videos — straight to your own OneDrive at full quality. It's invite-only through Apple's TestFlight for now: email support@digicloudframe.com with the subject 'iPhone beta' to get an invite.
- Does it replace the Microsoft OneDrive app?
- It doesn't have to. DigiFrame names uploaded files the same way the OneDrive app does, so the two can run side by side without double-uploading your photos. Many people keep the OneDrive app for files and use DigiFrame for everything photo-shaped.
- What does it cost?
- Curating your photos and playing them on your TV is free. A Pro upgrade adds extras such as guest slideshow links you can share with people who don't sign in with Microsoft.
- What about Android?
- The DigiFrame beta app is iPhone-first. On Android, turn on camera backup in Microsoft's OneDrive app and DigiFrame picks your photos up from OneDrive just the same — curation, cleanup, and the TV slideshow all work identically.
